There are numerous types of digital cameras as well as brands to choose from. Some of the websites available online have reviews of the different styles of digital cameras.
The cost of cameras varies from as low as approximately $50 up into the thousands. Depending on what you are using the camera for will depend on what you decide to purchase. Some of the cameras have what is called multi frames. It means that it takes several pictures at a high rate of speed, much faster than we would be able to push the button on a "regular" camera.
Some of the cameras are very lightweight and can fit in your pocket. They also have the ability to download your photos directly onto your computer, so you can make up pictures to give to relatives or post them online.
Digital cameras use what are known as pixels. All pictures are made up of small squares (pixels). The more pixels or megapixels the camera has, the greater and better the image is. It depends on if you are actually going to make photos from the camera; then you would definitely want a camera with the higher number of pixels.
Each digital camera also has sensors. Again, it does matter, as the higher number of pixels, the larger sensor makes the quality of the photos better. Digital cameras, like traditional cameras, can zoom in on the object you are trying to photograph.
Every digital camera has a specific amount of memory. The memory makes the difference on how many photos you can take. Digital cameras have memory cards and if you want to increase the number of photos you will also increase the memory card’s megabytes.
