There are many famous photographers that can be found around the world. These photographers take award winning pictures of different subjects and settings. Let’s take a look at some well known photographers and why they are famous.

Anne Geddes is a famous photographer from Australia. She was born in 1956 and is best known for her talent of photographing babies and motherhood. In her pictures, Geddes photographs babies and young children that are dressed in various costumes and themes. Her works are unique because most of her young subjects appear to be asleep or posing for the camera. Anne Geddes has sold millions of books and calendars around the world.

Edward Curtis was a well known American photographer that lived during the 1800s. He was born in Wisconsin and is famous for his photographs of the American West and Native American Indians. His father was a minister and a Civil War veteran. Curtis first became interested in photography around the age of six when he built his first camera. He went on to become an apprentice photographer when he was seventeen years old. Curtis photographed his first Native American in 1895, and he then went on to join an expedition where he photographed Blackfeet Indians in 1900.

Berenice Abbott was a famous photographer who was best known for taking black and white pictures of New York architecture. She was born in 1898 in Springfield, Ohio. Her most popular New York photographs were taken during the 1930s. Due to chronic health problems, Abbott moved to Maine to escape the air pollution of New York. She passed away at the age of 93.
